CD released 1999 produced by Ross Sermons recorded live in his ancestral homeplace “Summer Villa” at Lillington, North Carolina
Gary & Roberta appear on 11 of the 17 songs and penned the title song & “Carolina” for the occasion
Ross assembled 20 stellar friend musicians to stay a week at the historic, once working, plantation home
The project was a complete interaction and collaboration between the musicians, some whom had not met
Songs were written in the kitchen, rehearsed in the dining room and recorded immediately following
Old favorite traditional songs are sprinkled in with the originals with the spirit of great folk music
